What is C.O.A.T?
C.O.A.T is a team of peers focused on fighting addiction in Wicomico County. The team's goal is to prevent overdoses, help with treatment barriers, and provide a smooth transition to services and recovery.
What is a Peer Support Specialist?
A “Peer” supports individuals with accessing treatment and recovery using their own lived experiences.

Naloxone Training
Learn how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose with free naloxone training from the Wicomico County Health Department.

- Respond quickly and safely
- Administer naloxone (Narcan)
- Help save a life during an emergency
Help and Treatment Resources
The S.H.O.R.E Center provides confidential support, referrals, assessments, naloxone access, and connections to treatment and recovery resources for individuals and families impacted by substance use.

Prescription Disposal/Drop Off
Unused medications should never remain unsecured in the home. Safe disposal helps reduce accidental use, misuse, and overdose risk.
