Drug User Health Materials

The S.H.O.R.E Center provides free harm reduction supplies and educational resources designed to reduce overdose risk, prevent infection, and support healthier outcomes.

Kits include mouth piece, pusher, alcohol pads, A&D ointment, Choreboy, and thick reinforced glass. Our kits help prevent communicable disease and minimize burns.

Kits include two straws, alcohol pads, plastic razor blade, and a smooth plastic tray, and saline water to clear nasal passages.

We offer sterile syringes,in various gauges and sizes, no limit on amount, and other injection supplies (cookers, tourniquets, etc.) We provide Sharps containers and will also collect and dispose of any used syringes you may have.

Used baggies or paraphernalia can be sent off for testing anonymously. Results will be updated on the board in our supply room. This service informs individuals on the substances in our area.

R.A.D - Rapid Analysis Drugs

Hepatitis test in the laboratory

Low barrier of information needed to participate, will not see a medical professional, we assist with setting up a lab appointment, provide transportation if needed to the lab and consultation. Treatment available to individuals without insurance or still actively using.

HEP-C

Naloxone nasal spray from emergency overdose kit bag used for recovery from narcotic opioid medications or street drugs overdose.

We offer Naloxone (such as Narcan) education and distribution to prevent overdose death.

Our mission is to use personal and life experiences to encourage and guide others through the first steps of recovery.

What is C.O.A.T?

C.O.A.T is a team of peers focused on fighting addiction in Wicomico County. The team's goal is to prevent overdoses, help with treatment barriers, and provide a smooth transition to services and recovery.

What is a Peer Support Specialist?

A “Peer” supports individuals with accessing treatment and recovery using their own lived experiences.

Mobile Van

Staffed by trained and compassionate professionals, the mobile outreach unit provides education, support, harm reduction supplies, and connections to care directly within the community.

Prescription Disposal/Drop Off

Unused medications should never remain unsecured in the home. Safe disposal helps reduce accidental use, misuse, and overdose risk.
